Commodore Fazlar Rahman, (C), BSP, ndc, psc, BN

Commodore Fazlar Rahman, (C), BSP, ndc, psc, BN was born on 04 March 1972. He joined Bangladesh Navy in 1993 and was commissioned in the Executive Branch on 01 July 1995. Commodore Fazlar has attended a significant number of specialized courses both at home and abroad, At the initial stage of his career, the officer qualified as a Ships Diver Officer and subsequently underwent the UDT basic including EOD Course in the Republic of Korea in 1999. He further enhanced his tactical expertise through the Missile Command & Tactical Course and a Specialization in Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) Disposal in Turkey in the year 2007. He successfully completed the Turkish Language Course in 2006 and both Elementary and Intermediate Arabic Language Courses at the Bangladesh University of Professionals. His international academic and strategic exposure includes the UN-CIMIC Training of Trainers Course in Uganda and the Comprehensive Security Cooperation Course in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. The Commodore completed graduation from the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur in 2011 and the prestigious National Defence College (NDC), Mirpur in 2025. For his notable service and professional contributions to the nation, he was awarded the 'Distinguished Service Medal (BSP)'. The Commodore is presently serving as Commodore SWADS Command. Commodore Fazlar Rahman is happily married to Mrs. Syada Rawnak Jahan. The couple is blessed with one son and one daughter.
