Training in Bangladesh Navy is mainly conducted in 9 main establishments:

Bangladesh Naval Academy, Patenga, Chattogram.          

The academy is located at the estuary of Karnaphuli river. Main role of Bangladesh Naval Academy is to impart basic training to the officers. Besides the academy conducts Junior Staff Course.

BNS TITUMIR, Khalishpur, Khulna.     

Boot camp training of new entry sailors is conducted here. Besides training of Regulating branch sailors at Regulating School is also conducted here.

BNS ISSA KHAN, New Mooring, Chattogram.

BNS ISSA KHAN is a major training establishment of Bangladesh Navy. Executive Branch Schools and Music school are located in this establishment. The base also comprises of real time Fire Fighting and Damage Control simulator.

BNS SHAHEED MOAZZAM, Kaptai, Rangamati.

All technical schools of Bangladesh Navy are located at BNS SHAHEED MOAZZAM. Specialization courses of Engineering and Electrical Branch officers, Diploma courses of the technical branch sailors as per Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) curriculum and basic training of Seaman sailors are conducted in this base.

BANGLADESH NAVY DOCKYARD, New Mooring, Chattogram.     

The dockyard comprises of various workshops and equipped with modern machineries and systems. This organization provides technical training of the direct entry technical Artificers and sailors.

BNS PATENGA, New Mooring, Chattogram.

BNS PATENGA is a Navy Hospital comprised of various modern medical facilities. Training of medical branch sailors are conducted here.

School of Special Warfare Diving and Salvage, Patia, Chattogram.       

This is a specialized school for conducting specialized training like Commando, Diving, Explosive Ordnance Disposal etc.

School of Logistics and Management, Lobonchara, Khulna.

The school provides training to Supply branch officers and sailors.

School of Maritime Warfare & Tactics, New Mooring, Chattogram.

This is a modern training institute of Bangladesh Navy comprised of various simulators. Main role of this school is to impart training to Officers and sailors though simulators in various simulated situation.

Junior Commissioned Officer’s Training Institute, New Mooring Chattogram.   

This institute imparts special leadership training to the Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs’), which enables them to become effective leaders.

BNS SOMUDRA JOY is dedicatedly detailed as training ship. It is one of the largest ship of Bangladesh Navy. As a matter of fact BNS SOMUDRA JOY is the first ever USA origin warship of Bangladesh Navy. This ship is quite different and incorporated with new technology. Basically it renders a wide range of practical training to officers and sailors.
